The Southport Sharks are thrilled to announce that Surfers Paradise young gun Nick Williams has signed with the club.
In 2023, Williams was part of the Under 18 National Championship winning Allies team which comprises of players from NSW/ACT, Queensland, Northern Territory and Tasmania.
He also played five VFL games for the Gold Coast Suns, five games for the Sun’s Academy’s Coates Talent League team and five QAFL senior games for Surfers Paradise this year.
The 18-year-old defender is originally from Tasmania but moved to the Gold Coast five years ago.
Southport’s General Manager of Football Operations, Jarrod Field, said, “Nick is a very talented player, and I believe he has a big future.”
“Hopefully, he can have a great year for us next year and enhance his draft prospects.”
