Hotel Frequently Asked Questions

What time is check-in/check-out?
Guaranteed check-in is 2pm, and check-out is 10am. Please contact our friendly hotel team should you have any special requests.

If I arrive early to the hotel, can I check-in?
You may arrive prior to the usual check-in time of 14:00 (2pm). If you have a car, you may use the car park and reception can arrange luggage storage until your room is ready.

What time is check-out?
Our check-out time is 10am, late checkouts are subject to availability on the day of your departure. Late checkout fees apply.

Do I need a credit card to check-in?
Yes, a pre-authorisation amount of $100 is required to guarantee incidentals. Should you not have a credit card available, a cash deposit is required. Any unused deposit will be refunded on check-out.

Can reception store my luggage?
Reception can always store your luggage after you have checked-out allowing you to enjoy the local surrounds. You will still be able to collect your luggage upon your return.

Can I extend my stay?
Yes. If you extend your in-house booking, your original suite key/s and car parking pass will stop working on your original departure date. Reception will need to reprogram them for you so you are not inconvenienced.

Do you have WiFi?
Yes, WiFi is complimentary and unlimited in all rooms.

What is the minimum age to check in to the hotel?
All reservations require the registered guest to be no less than 18-years of age. The guest must have a with a valid credit card in his / her name and a driver’s license or passport.

How do I make changes or cancel, my booking?
If you wish to modify or cancel your booking please contact our friendly reservation team on (07) 5603 3200.

What is the room cancellation policy?
Cancellations received within 24 hours of arrival will incur a late cancellation fee of one night’s accommodation.

Do your rooms have balconies?
Our rooms do not have balconies.

Do your rooms have any cooking facilities?
Only our King Suite includes a microwave. We also offer in-room dining.
Southport Sharks boasts an extensive choice of dining options, including Aviary Rooftop BarCarmody’s Restaurant, Frenzy Food Court, a Cafe, and Cabana Bar & Lounge.

Do you have smoking rooms?
Mantra at Sharks is a non-smoking hotel.

Do you have wheelchair accessible rooms?
Our wheelchair accessible rooms are subject to availability. Please check with us prior to booking.

Is there a limit to the amount of visitors?
Yes, all visitors must leave by 22:00 (10pm). Maximum number of visitors per room is two (2).

Do you provide baby cots?
No, due to Health and Safety reasons we are unable to provide these. We are happy for you to bring your own, please be aware of our room size and max pax restrictions on booking.

Do you provide roll away beds?
No, however you may book a sofa bed for an additional $40per day in a King Suite.

We have been guests around 10 times since opening and each visit continues to impress. Staff are fabulous, helpful and have an air of complete friendliness about them.

Very good access to carpark downstairs. We enjoyed the rooftop bar with light meal options as well as the food and entertainment at Southport Sharks, located next door. We particularly liked the Southport location, close to Chirn Park and Surfers Paradise by car.

Close to services such as hospital, tram, food outlets and Southport Sharks. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. I loved Box Coffee Co, located in the carpark.
