Here are some frequently asked questions about staying with Mantra at Sharks.

What time is check-in/check-out?

Guaranteed check-in is 2pm, and check-out is 10am. Please contact our friendly hotel team should you have any special requests.

If I arrive early to the hotel, can I check-in?

You may arrive prior to the usual check-in time of 2pm (14:00). If you have a car, you may use the car park and reception can arrange luggage storage until your room is ready.

What time is check-out?

Our check-out time is 10am, late checkouts are subject to availability on the day of your departure. Late checkout fees apply.

Do I need a credit card to check-in?

Yes, a pre-authorisation amount of $100 is required to guarantee incidentals.

Can reception store my luggage?

Reception will be happy to store your luggage after you have checked out, allowing you to enjoy the local surrounds until your departure from the hotel.

Do you have WiFi?

Yes, WiFi is complimentary and unlimited in all rooms.

What is the minimum age to check in to the hotel?

All reservations require the registered guest to be no less than 18-years of age. The guest must have a with a valid credit card in his / her name and a driver’s license or passport.

How do I make changes or cancel, my booking?

If you wish to modify or cancel your booking please contact our friendly reservation team on (07) 5603 3200.

What is the room cancellation policy?

Cancellations received within 24 hours of arrival will incur a late cancellation fee of one night’s accommodation.

Do you have wheelchair accessible rooms?

Our wheelchair accessible rooms are subject to availability. Please check with us prior to booking.

Is there a limit to the amount of visitors?

Yes,  the maximum number of visitors per room is two (2). All visitors must leave by 22:00 (10pm).

Do your rooms have any cooking facilities?

Only our King Suite includes a microwave. The hotel offers in-room dining and the rooftop bar has pizzas and starters. Southport Sharks has a number  dining options available for hotel guests who are welcome to charge meals back to rooms.

Do your rooms have balconies?

Our rooms do not have balconies.

Do you have smoking rooms?

Mantra at Sharks is a non-smoking hotel.

Do you provide baby cots?

No, due to health and safety reasons we are unable to provide these. We are happy for you to bring your own, however, please be aware of our room size and maximum occupancy restrictions on booking.

Do you provide rollaway beds?

No, however, you may book a sofa bed for an additional $40 per day if occupying a King Suite.

Do you have car parking facilities?

Mantra at Sharks has 209 underground and above-ground car parking spaces, available for guests on a complimentary basis. Please register your vehicle with reception on arrival.

Can hotel guests access the fitness centre?

Yes, during staffed hours. Bookings must be made for the Sauna & Classes. Appropriate gym attire to be worn at all times.

Excellent stay - such a lovely hotel! I stayed here to be close to the hospital the next day. I have stayed here before. I am always impressed with how clean and modern this hotel is. Crisp, clean rooms with all the amenities you need. Absolutely spotless and wonderful staff who are friendly and helpful. 150 metres walk to the Sharks Club via a walkway and you get an array of food and entertainment to enjoy.

Thanks, to the Events team for all of your hard work for the camp last week. It truly was made so much easier by the assistance and flexibility of your team, and we were all so appreciative of this, and it was noted by everyone who attended. As you may have known, this was the first camp of its kind that we have held in Australia and it was a great success from the feedback we received. The venue, hotel and staff at Mantra played a large role in this. We have begun discussing next year’s camp and we would like to continue hosting it at the Mantra again in 2022.
