ABOUT OUR QAFLW PROGRAM
In 2020, we introduced a senior women’s team. For our first two years of existence, we played in QFAW Division 1 and won premierships in both years. In 2022, we were promoted to the QAFLW, which is the state league for women’s football in Queensland. We introduced a Reserves team in 2022 as it is a requirement for playing in the QAFLW. In our first season in the QAFLW, our Seniors made the Grand Final, and our Reserves won the premiership.
In 2023, we have a new coach – Peter Doherty, who has been involved with the women’s program since its inception.
This year, there will be 16 Rounds, including three competition byes. Each club will play everyone twice, home and away.
Finals start on August 12 and the Grand Final will be played on Sunday, August 27.
Ticketing: All games at Fankhauser Reserve are FREE and not ticketed.
