The Carlton Draught Celebrity Sports Lunch is now a truly iconic event on the Gold Coast. This year is no exception with a stellar line-up of celebrity guests including AFL legend and FOX Sports Commentator, Paul Roos and stand-up comedian, Dave O’Neil who will impress guests with his charismatic charm.

This years Sports Panel will consist of former AFL player and radio personality Peter ‘SPIDA’ Everitt, former international Australian cricketer and Channel 9 commentator Ian Healy and Australian Boxer Skye NicolsonSam Kekovich is back with his politically incorrect, brash and funny personality to be the Master of Ceremonies.

Don’t miss the annual event, showcasing an outstanding quality of dining, entertainment, sporting discussion, raffles and charity auction. This has been a sell-out event in recent years. This year’s event will feature an exceptional menu including a seafood entree, and lamb two ways for main. The Roasted Lamb Rack will be served with a stuffed Lamb Noisette on green herb risotto with golden baby beets, roasted vine tomato, garden peas and feves.

Sam Kekovich
Former VFL hard man for the Kangaroos and Collingwood. Sam is known to be politically incorrect, brash and funny… A true Australian icon.

Paul Roos
AFL Legend, Fox Sports Commentator, coach and Father to Southport Sharks very own NEAFL player, Tyler Roos.

Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt
Former Australian Rules Footballer for St Kilda, Hawthorn and Sydney. Peter is now a radio personality for GoldFM and Triple M and features in his own Travel TV Show, ‘The Great Australian Doorstep’.

Dave O’Neil
Melbourne based stand-up comedian and self-confessed ‘man of leisure’ will impress attendees with his charismatic charm. Known for his hilarious Podcast, ‘The Debrief with Dace O’Neil’, featuring a new comedian every episode.

Ian Healy
Former cricketer for Australia, commentator for Channel 9 and GEM and founding director of carwashing chain ‘Hoppy’s’.

Skye Nicolson
Australian featherweight boxer who recently took home the Gold at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

As a not for profit organisation, Southport Sharks places great emphasis on fundraising opportunities. The club is proud to be a fundraiser for the Junior Sharks Football Club and a selected foundation each year during the Celebrity Sports Lunch. On average, close to $10,000 is raised each year for a wide variety of charities and people in need.
