This year sees the introduction of the Emerging Leader which recognises a player who is under the age of 22 to be part of the Leadership Group.

This position has been awarded to Casey Wynne who is a former Sharks Junior and played in the QAFLW Seniors Grand Final.

Southport’s Assistant Manager of Football Operations David Ashkar said, “It is a terrific Leadership Group. They all offer unique perspectives, and they have the respect of their teammates and the club.”

“Culture plays a massive role in the success of the club, it is their role to drive the standards which is a big responsibility and one I know they can deliver on.”
