Q&A with members Kelly & Deb

We recently spoke with two of our members, sisters Kelly and Deb about their group classes experience at Sharks Fitness Centre.

How did you discover Sharks Fitness Centre?

Our previous gym was closing down, and we were on the hunt for another facility. Sharks Fitness Centre was in a convenient location for us and offered quality facilities at a perfect price, so thought we’d give it a go. Once we trialled the facilities, we soon became hooked and haven’t looked back!

Which group fitness classes do you attend?

We have both become hooked on spin classes, which was relatively new to us upon joining the fitness centre, and previously was not one of our favourites. However, the instructors at Sharks are awesome, and we have made so many new friends who regularly attend these classes as well. We also love to attend yoga classes as they are absolutely amazing.

What motivation do you give each other to keep up your fitness routine?

Having each other is our encouragement, but more importantly, it makes it fun, and that’s why we do this every day. We look forward to coffee (the best on the coast) and a chat after our training session at Box Coffee Co. It’s perfect!

Do you see yourselves continuing the tradition in years to come?

We are a family that encourages and embraces sport for fun, fitness and health. This attitude has allowed us the opportunity to develop friendships that can last a lifetime. It also provides a social outlet, which is essential for good health and wellbeing as it is a way people can feel like part of a community. We will definitely continue to embrace this lifestyle as it is such a significant part of our lives.
