The Southport Sharks are pleased to welcome Campbell Lake and Will Derrington from the Labrador Tigers and the Gold Coast Suns.
Lake played 8 VFL games for the Suns this year and was a part of their premiership winning team.
He also played nine senior QAFL games for Labrador this year, averaging 20 disposals, five marks and three clearances.
On top of that, he also played four games for the Sun’s Academy’s Coates League team this year.
Derington, who is originally from Cairns, moved to the Gold Coast in 2023 to further his football development.
This year, he played three games for the Suns Academy’s Coates Talent League, five for the Suns VFL team and eight senior games for Labrador, averaging 18 disposals and five marks for the Tigers.
Southport’s General Manager of Football Operations, Jarrod Field, said, “We are really impressed with the young talent coming through the QAFL and Campbell and Will are no exception.”
“Our hope is that they continue to develop here at the Southport Sharks in the VFL and can showcase their potential in 2024.”
