Their shows have been described as “dragging Blues, kicking and screaming into the 21st century”… if you haven’t seen a Mason Rack Band gig, put it on your bucket list! These guys are an experience in themselves, not only playing Alternative Rock and Blues with exceptional skill, but putting on a show involving humour, keg drumming and a whole lot of dancing and grooving. This won them LIVE ACT OF THE YEAR at the 2018 Gold Coast Music Awards.
We caught up with Mason Rack himself to delve deeper into what the band has to offer.
Are you working on any new projects at the moment that we can look forward to?
Yes! We have just scored new management in Australia… we can’t say much yet, but there are big things to come this year. In international news, we have recently joined KBN, a European touring company. This will make our international tours so much easier. Our next tour is in September 2019- we can’t wait.
You consistently attract fans to every show and have such a loyal following, what do you think it is about your band and the music that gets people coming back again and again?
I think it’s because we don’t do just one genre of music, we cover lots of genres in our show. And that we have elements of a stage show in our performance which equals to being visually appetising (eg keg drumming, instrument swaps)
