BIG CITY LIGHTS* Festival returns to the Southport CBD!
We’re proud to announce that we are a community partner for the 2024 instalment of BIG CITY LIGHTS* Festival. Presented by our partners at Experience Gold Coast (EGC), this incredible event returns this winter to the heart of Southport CBD, building on the phenomenal success of its 2022 debut.
Spanning from Friday 21 June to Sunday 7 July, BIG CITY LIGHTS* blends urban and digital design, digital culture, music, and light into an innovative celebration.
Experience a state-of-the-art, self-guided tour featuring immersive audio-visual installations, large-scale digital artworks, 3D mapping, and surprising projection locations that reimagine the everyday urban environments of the Gold Coast. BIG CITY LIGHTS* will also host live music and performances at various indoor venues and outdoor spaces across Southport CBD, enhancing this free, family-friendly event’s appeal to a broad spectrum of local residents and visitors from nearby regions.
Watch as the city’s facades and laneways burst into vibrant, hypnotic colours through the creative expressions of leading local and national talents in lighting, installation art, architecture, and digital design, all enriched by dynamic live performances.
