Yesterday, Southport Sharks proudly supported the Gold Coast Recreation & Sport Inc Annual Athletics Championships, an event that provides children living with disabilities the opportunity to compete at a competitive level.
The day was filled with excitement and camaraderie, starting with a parade of all the participating schools and a torch-lighting ceremony to officially kick off the festivities. Sharky and his teammate Oliver (from Helensvale State School) delivered an impressive performance, finishing a close second in the first track race of the day.
Thank you to Gold Coast Recreation & Sport Inc for hosting us for the fifth year.
