Pedal for Patients
Giving Day | Wednesday 25 March
Illness and injury don’t wait.
They don’t give warnings, and they don’t arrive at the “right time”. They can affect any one of us — at any moment.
Across our community, ordinary days can quickly turn into life-changing ones. A sudden accident. An unexpected diagnosis. Moments that impact children, families, friends and loved ones — often when they least expect it.
When that happens, access to the best possible healthcare isn’t just important. It’s lifesaving.
Why We’re Riding
This Giving Day, the team from Southport Sharks Health Club is proud to support the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation through our Pedal for Patients challenge.
Over 12 hours, our team and members will take on a continuous bike challenge — with someone riding every 30 minutes — to raise awareness and funds for those who need it most.
It’s a simple act with a powerful purpose: to show up, to give back, and to support our community when it matters most.
Where Your Donation Goes
By supporting Giving Day, you are helping fund:
-
Vital medical equipment
-
Life-changing research programs
-
Cancer patient transport services
-
Emergency accommodation for families
These are the services that make a real difference in critical moments — ensuring care is there when it’s needed most.
