Laneway Festival 2026

Laneway Festival Hits the Gold Coast ✨

Laneway Festival is landing at Southport Sharks on Saturday 7 February.

Since 2007, Laneway Festival has been a leader in the Brisbane summer cultural calendar, and for the first time the Gold Coast will now become the home of this iconic event.

As an over 16’s event, Laneway Festival appeals to seasoned festival goers and the next generation discovering artists for the first time.

For general information about the event for both members and attendees, please see below. For further information about the festival for attendees, please visit Laneway’s website.

For Festival Attendees

If you are attending Laneway Festival, festival entry is on Village Boulevard, located within Smith Collective. Please use the ‘Village Heart’ pin on Google or Apple Maps for the best reference point.

If walking from nearby or catching public transport, festival attendees are encouraged to visit Southport Sharks prior to the event, and can walk to the festival entry via Melia Court, then onto Village Boulevard. There is no access to the event through Southport Sharks.

Please note, there is strictly no festival parking available at Southport Sharks, and there is no designated parking within the surrounding areas for festival attendees.

Public transport is highly recommended, with two G:link light rail stations within walking distance of the festival entry; the Griffith University station is the closest to the festival entry.

For Visiting Sharks

The Club will still be open for all regular members and guests on the Saturday, with the festival being held out on our football fields and Village Green.

Please be aware that some surrounding roads may be affected by closures on the day, so we recommend planning your journey ahead of time.

Please utilise the Musgrave Avenue entry only if driving to the club on the day, as there will be disruptions to Melia Court.

Please note the following changes to certain venues during the event period:

  • Frenzy’s – Friday buffet only for dinner, Saturday à la carte only for lunch & dinner
  • Southport Sharks Health Club – Closed from 12:00AM on Saturday 7 February through to 8:00AM on Sunday 8 February
  • Kaktus Bar – Closed all day Saturday & Sunday
  • Lower Dining Area – Closed from 10:00PM Friday and all day Saturday
  • Aviary – Closed all day Saturday
  • Box Coffee – Extended trading hours, open 6:30AM until late Saturday, and 6:00AM to 11:00AM Sunday

Unfortunately due to the event utilising the Lower Dining area, there will no live entertainment on the Friday or Saturday night at the Club. This means we won’t be able to host our annual Waitangi Day celebrations. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
