Planning a trip to Southport Sharks? We’re here to make your visit easy and enjoyable with information on parking, club trading hours, and venue policies. Our facilities include a Parents’ Room for feeding and changing, as well as accessible entrances, lifts, and amenities for all guests.

Accessibility at Southport Sharks

At Southport Sharks, we are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all guests. Our venue features wheelchair-accessible entrances, lifts, and amenities, ensuring ease of movement throughout the club. Dedicated accessible parking spaces are available close to the entrance, and our team is always on hand to assist where needed.

Free and Paid Parking Options

We have over 500 free car parking spaces for our members and guests visiting the club.

Disability Parking

If you hold a current disability badge, we have designated parking in three locations.

  • When entering from Melia Court, drive straight ahead towards the taxi turning circle.
  • From Musgrave Avenue entrance, take the second entrance on the right (this is on a flat area of the car park).
  • The third turning on the right when entering from Musgrave Avenue, will lead you to allocated parking spaces.

Southport Sharks Car Park is only for the use of our members and guests whilst using the clubs facilities, this is applicable at all times.

Southport Sharks Health + Fitness Member Parking

SSH+F members simply need to show your key tag upon entering the car park. There are two designated locations and a 3-hour limit applies.

  • The two basement levels of the hotel car park.
  • The outdoor car park is facing Melia Court, alongside Box Coffee Co.

Southport Sharks Paid Parking

Daily Parking

Available around the oval for people visiting the Health and Knowledge Precinct for $5* per day, via the boom gate entrance to Fankhauser Reserve.

Payment can be made upon exiting via card payment.*

Weekly Passes

Available for $35, with car parking located at Car Park 4 (Melia Court entrance). These passes are valid for five days between Monday to Sunday, and directions can be given by the car parking attendants upon your arrival. Cash or card* payment is required on arrival for the Weekly Passes.

*Visa or Master card (debit or credit card). No other EFTPOS cards accepted. Please note, Southport Sharks reserves the right to amend prices and or inclusions without notice, at any time.

Our Parents Room

We’ve designed our spaces with your comfort and convenience in mind, ensuring that parenting becomes an effortless experience while visiting the club. Our Parents Room provides the following amenities; change tables, microwave, pram parking area, lounge area, and private nursing areas with adjustable lighting.

Adjacent to the Parents Room, you’ll also find a new spacious accessible restroom featuring an automatic door added for convenience. Our Parents Room and accessible restroom are located next to the front desk area.

Our Policies and Guidelines

Southport Australian Football Club (Southport Sharks) takes pride in its recognition as a leader within the Queensland Club Industry and as a provider of superior service standards to both members and guests who utilise our facilities. Accordingly, the Club has initiated a number of policies to ensure the maintenance of those standards, and to safeguard the safety and well-being of not only those persons utilising our facility but the surrounding community as a whole. Central to those initiatives is the Club’s Risk Assessment Management Policy, covering such matters as responsible service of alcohol, responsible provision of gaming services, security issues, legislative compliance and provision of services.   • An adult proof of age card
  • Australian driver licence or learner permit
  • Foreign driver licence
  • Passport (from any country)
  • Other recognised proof of age cards
Please note the ID document must be current and include a photo of the person and their date of birth.
A notice of required dress standards is provided in the main foyer for the benefit of members, guests and staff. The following dress is NOT permitted at any time:
  • Bare feet
  • Swimwear
  • Clothing or footwear that is unduly soiled
  • Clothing that is dirty, frayed, untidy, faded or ripped
  • Clothing that is immodest
  • Clothing displaying offensive, rude or illegal motifs and pictures
  • Clothing displaying gang colours, patches or insignia
The following dress is permitted until 5:30PM only:
  • Clean and tidy work wear
  • Singlets
  • Caps (not permitted in the the gaming room at any time)
The following dress is permitted until 8:30PM only:
  • Slides/thongs
Appearance must be clean, neat and tidy at all times.
We encourage the expression of opinions and open discussions in our online communities, but also ask that you act respectfully and responsibly. We will remove any posts or comments from our social media pages if they contain:
  • Offensive, abusive, obscene, profane, hateful or racist content, links or images;
  • Comments that threaten or defame any person or organisation;
  • Solicitations and advertisements by other organisations or endorsements by other organisations;
  • Multiple or repetitive posts that we deem to be spam content;
  • Anything else we deem to be inappropriate or disrespectful to Southport Sharks, our staff or community.
Southport Sharks takes great pride in its reputation as a family-friendly environment, and it is opportune that we remind members and guests of the guidelines for use of the facility by children.
  • The dress code above applies to all persons over 15 years of age
  • Children under the age of 15 must be neatly and tidily attired
  • For safety purposes, children of all ages must wear footwear at all times, in all areas of the Club, with the exception of Wobbygongs
  • For safety purposes, football or studded boots are not deemed proper footwear for children within the Club
  • Children not in the care of Wobbygongs staff must be accompanied by a responsible adult (25 years of age or older) at all times
  • Children are not permitted in the Gaming room at any time
  • Children under 12 are not permitted on the dance floor after the commencement of any live band/artist, with the exception of designated children’s nights.
  • Children 13-18 are permitted on the dance floor after musicians commence playing on any night, provided that they are dancing alone with a single adult person, and under the supervision of a parent/guardian.
