Terms and Conditions may change regularly. 

TICKETED EVENTS

The following terms and conditions apply for ticketed events for Cabana Bar & Lounge and Aviary Rooftop Bar.

  • Full pre-payment of ticket is required at the time of booking.
  • All tickets are non-refundable once purchased unless stated otherwise.
  • Tickets may be re-issued to another person if required.
  • Cabana Bar & Lounge and Aviary Rooftop Bar are strictly 18+ venues.
  • Dress code applies. Management reserves the right to refuse entry.

FRENZY’S

The following terms and conditions apply to Frenzy’s and it’s associated offerings and specials.

  • Prices and offerings are subject to change for special events and public holidays.
  • $2 Senior discount is applicable upon presentation of a valid Senior card.
  • Bookings are recommended.
  • Images indicative only.
  • Specials priced for members only. Guests incur extra charge. No further discounts apply unless stated otherwise.
  • Entertainment Book voucher is valid only for Frenzy’s, featured discount is not applicable on Value Lunches.

SURCHARGES

  • 15% surcharge is applicable to food & beverage pricing on public holidays
  • In accordance with RBA regulations, a 1.4% surcharge is applied to the use of all cards at EFTPOS terminals. Cash & ACCESS Points incur no surcharge.

Membership

ACCESS loyalty Program Terms and Conditions:

1. The ACCESS loyalty program provides benefits to financial members of Southport Australian Rules Football Club (The Club) for visitation and the purchase of select products and services.

2. ACCESS points may be earned by the playing of gaming machines and in the purchase of select goods and services sold by The Club

3. Club policy prohibits membership cards being lent or borrowed by other persons in order to receive points or gain other benefits under the ACCESS Loyalty program,

4. The Club reserves the right to alter ACCESS point accumulation ratios at its sole discretion

5. It is a Club member’s responsibility to secure their membership card and any fraudulent negotiation of ACCESS points from a stolen or lost membership card will not be the responsibility of The Club.

6. ACCESS points earned by one member are not transferable to another member.

7. Club members may use their accumulated ACCESS points to purchase select goods and services sold by the Club (not PRIVATE FUNCTIONS). Club members may elect to
convert their ACCESS points for cash. Should a member wish to convert ACCESS points for cash, the following conditions apply –

a. The member may only convert his/her ACCESS points to cash where the balance of such points totals 500 points ($5.00) or more, being available in the member’s account,

b. The member in converting his/her ACCESS points for cash may, on any one trading day, convert a maximum of 20,000 points ($200.00)

c. When converting ACCESS points for cash the member must produce his/her Club membership card as well as photograph identification, or other evidence of identification acceptable to The Club, and may be asked to quote his/her date of birth for verification

d. The member may only convert his/her ACCESS points to cash in increments of 500 (five hundred points) $5.00 amounts, in whole dollars

8. These terms, including benefits, may be changed at any time by The Club. If we do make changes, we will give members notice of these changes, including updated information on our website and on information available at the Southport Sharks property.

9. Prior notice may not be given if we are required to make changes to act legally or in accordance with the requirements of a Government authority, and the way in which we provide notice may be limited by law or the requirements of a Government authority.

10. It is the member’s responsibility to ensure they keep up to date with the Terms

11. The Club is not responsible and will accept no liability for misuse of lost or stolen cards or card failure to which ACCESS points fail to accrue.

12. ACCESS points will be accrued until the close of trading on 30 September annually. Points not used by this date will be deleted and purged. From the commencement of trading on 1 October annually, all ACCESS points accounts will have a balance of 0 (zero) points.

13. The basis upon which a member may accrue ACCESS points and Tier Credits is determined solely by The Club and is subject to change without prior notice to members

14. The Club will not be liable in any way in relation to the unavailability of ACCESS points of any description which fail to accrue as a result of a malfunction, operator fault, misrepresentation or any other reason beyond the knowledge or control of The Club,

15. The Club has no obligation to make available to members ACCESS points that fail to accrue,

16. The Club may suspend or cease operation of the ACCESS Loyalty program at any time without notice. If so, members have thirty (30) days from the date of the suspension or cessation to redeem all accrued ACCESS points. Any points not redeemed within said 30 (thirty) day period will be cancelled and purged,

17. Any decision pertaining to ACCESS benefits, by The Club, are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

18. ACCESS points are based on levels of points earned. Five levels of reward categories may operate; Jade, Amber, Pearl, Opal and Black Opal. Each such level of reward status will feature varying levels of benefits.

19. ACCESS points are based on a member’s goods and services purchases and gaming machine play. A member’s status of reward category will be reviewed periodically by The Club.

20. The Club reserves the right to change criteria for reward category levels and determine the maximum number of members per level.

21. Bonus Points all year. Black Opal members will earn triple bonus points for gaming turnover on all days within the six-month period in which they are a Black Opal member. Opal members will earn double bonus points for gaming turnover on all days within the six- month period in which they are an Opal member. Pearl members will earn 1.5 bonus points for gaming turnover on all days within the six-month period in which they are a Pearl member.

22. The Club reserves the right to change a member’s status of reward category level at any time without prior notice.

23. Employees of The Club who are also financial members of The Club are eligible to accrue and redeem ACCESS points in their own time, in accordance with the policies relating to employee participation in Club promotions. Points not redeemable for cash.

24. Directors of The Club are ineligible to accrue or redeem ACCESS points.

25. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws in force in the state of Queensland and shall be enforced in conjunction with the membership policies of The Club.

Gaming Terms and Conditions

General T&Cs:

  1. Promotions are open to current financial members (18 years and over) of the Southport Australian Rules Football Club “Southport Sharks” (excluding staff, club contractors and members of the board). Winners will be contacted by best means possible, either in person, by telephone, or by email.
  2. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs that is beyond the reasonable control of Southport Sharks and prevents Southport Sharks from complying with these terms and conditions, Southport Sharks will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation and Southport Sharks reserves the right (subject to applicable law) to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend any promotion.
  3. Southport Sharks Board Members, officers and employees, related bodies corporate, and their respective officers, employees and agents, will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with any promotion, the marketing of a promotion or use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  4. Southport Sharks reserves the right to re-draw any winning prize in a promotion in the event of the following: (i) a breach of these terms and conditions; (ii) the forfeiting of a prize (iii) unclaimed prizes or (iv) inability to contact the winner.
  5. Southport Sharks cannot be held responsible for any communication that is delayed due to third-party providers including short message service (SMS), multimedia message service (MMS), electronic direct mail (EDM) or direct mail.
  6. Valid photo identification must be presented for any winners (e.g. passport, license, or proof of age card).

As part of our obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth) (AML/CTF Act), the Club is required to collect and verify certain personal information. By participating in gaming services that the Club provides, you acknowledge and consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information for the purpose of complying with our legal obligations, including but not limited to identity verification, re-verification of identity, transaction monitoring, customer screening services and reporting to regulatory authorities such as AUSTRAC. This may include disclosure to third-party service providers who assist us in meeting these obligations. It will also include monitoring and storing some of your identifying information.  We will take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.

If we cannot verify your identity, if we detect unusual behaviour or unusual gambling activity, or if we consider that you or your activity poses a risk to the Club or our staff, the Club may undertake one, some or all of the following actions with or without notice:

·       Request further identifying information from you

·       Request information about your source of funds or source of wealth, and information about your financial position

·       Refuse making a gaming payout

·       Suspend your loyalty account

·       Forfeit your loyalty points

·       Terminate your membership

·       Exclude you from the premises.

The Club is not liable to you or any other third party for any action taken in relation to the above risk and compliance actions.

Our Club uses facial recognition services for the purpose of enforcing compliance with gambling and AML/CTF legislation, and related policies and programs.  You consent to the use of your image for these purposes.

$100k Renew Years Eve

The following terms and conditions apply to the Southport Sharks Renew Years Eve Promotion

The promotion commences on Wednesday, 5th November 2024 and concludes at 8pm on Saturday, 3rd January 2026.

The opportunity for entry is open to all current financial members* excluding staff, club contractors, members of the board and their immediate families.

Persons must be 18 years and over to become a Southport Sharks member and therefore, to enter the promotion.

Entries are automatically accrued for every $10 in Gaming turnover or $10 spend on eligible purchases.

All entries are automatically added to the virtual ticket barrel for entry into the weekly draws.

Entries must be validated by swiping membership card at a member kiosk from 3pm on the day of the draws to be eligible for the promotion draws.

$6k in cash must be won each Friday and Saturday during the promotional period, with $10k cash on the final day on Saturday 3rd January 2026

Draws and prize breakdown will be according to the following schedule:

Weekly Cash prizes

Friday and Saturday – from Friday 14th November to Friday 2nd January 2026

• 6pm – $1,000

• 7pm – $2,000

• 8pm – $3,000

The final night, Saturday 3rd January, the prize draws will be

• 6pm – $2,000

• 7pm – $3,000

• 8pm – $5,000

All weekly draws will take place via the virtual barrel. Winners must be present at the time of the draw and have five (5) minutes to present themselves to the compere to validate their identity and claim their prize. In the event the winner is not present the compere will conduct a redraw after the five (5) minute time is up. This will continue until a validated winner is found.

Once the draws have been closed and winners selected, no further correspondence will be entered into. The decision is final as dictated by the virtual barrel mechanics.

By entering the competition, the contestants’ consent to their names and/or photographs being published within Southport Sharks’ marketing collateral.

The Southport Sharks’ decision as to the result of the promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Participation in this promotion acknowledges acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Should any imposed restrictions or unforeseen circumstances arise during the promotion period, Southport Sharks may amend, postpone, or cancel this promotion at any time.

Rolling Riches – Members Cash Giveaway and Progressive Members draw

The following terms and conditions apply to the Rolling Riches Promotion.

Each week during the promotional period, there will be guaranteed members cash giveaways, as per the following schedule:

Thursdays
6:30PM 2x $500
7:30PM $1,000

Sundays
2:30PM $500

Entry into the Members Cash Giveaways will be by swiping a valid and eligible membership card at a membership kiosk from 5pm each Thursday and 12pm each Sunday during the promotional period.

In addition to the Members Cash Giveaways, a progressive members draw will take place at 8:30pm each Thursday, and 3pm each Sunday.

A random active member number will be selected from the membership database (using the MAX E-draw virtual barrel). If the member is present on the night of the draw, they will win the current jackpot amount. Starting amount will be $1500, increasing by $250 each week if it is not won.

When the jackpot amount reaches $5K, the prize pool must be won. When the amount is guaranteed, the entry mechanism will be via member card swipe, as per the Members Cash Giveaways. When the prize pool is guaranteed, redraws will take place every 5 minutes, as necessary, until a winner is identified.

All winners must be present at the time of the draw to win.
• Eligibility requirements:
• The person must be a current financial member of the Southport Sharks Australian Football Club.
• NO Director, Management, Football Players, Football Staff or Promotional Staff of the Southport Sharks or their immediate families, or any other staff and contractor personnel, are permitted to participate in any cash promotional draws.

• For amounts of $2000 or more must also produce photo identification
• If the prize is unclaimed within the allocated time, redraws will take place until an eligible winner has been identified and presented themselves to claim their prize in accordance with the above.

BIRTHDAY VOUCHERS

A food and beverage credit will be credited to your membership card when visiting and swiping your card at a member kiosk during the month of your birthday only – No exceptions. Once credited to your membership card, the member has the month of their birthday and the following calendar month to utilise the credit.

The credit must be used on Food and Beverage when dining in only within the following outlets: Frenzy’s Food Court, Café, Lounge Bar, Mackenzie’s Bar, or Cabana Bar. The credit cannot be used in Aviary Rooftop or Fins Cellar. In the case of club closure due to an act of god or pandemic, the credit will not be valid and therefore will be unable to be redeemed.

MONTHLY BIRTHDAY DRAW

Current financial members* have the opportunity to win $1000 on the last Wednesday of the month of their Birthday.

To enter the birthday draw, members need to print their entry ticket by swiping their 2024 membership card at a member kiosk during the month of their birthday and placing this entry ticket into the barrel provided prior to the draw taking place at 8:00PM on the last Wednesday of the month.

At 8:00PM on the last Wednesday of the month, 1 (one) ticket will be drawn from the barrel and once verified as an eligible ticket, be announced in the Club. The winner will have 5 minutes to make themselves known to staff to claim their prize of $1000.

*Current financial members are those members as outlined in clause 1 of the Clubs General T&C’s

Promotion Terms & Conditions

  1. General 

1.1 Information on how to enter and the Prizes (as that term is defined below) form part of these terms and conditions of entry (“Terms and Conditions”). By entering this “Southport Sharks Win a Trip to Japan” promotion (“Promotion”) You are deemed to have accepted of these Terms and Conditions.

1.2 This Promotion is sponsored by Southport Sharks Pty Ltd ABN 33 010 452 936 located at Cnr Olsen and Musgrave Ave who can be contacted on +61 7 5532 1155 (‘Promoter’).

1.3 This Promotion is not valid in conjunction with any other promotion or offer.

  1. Eligibility 

2.1 You may not enter this Promotion if You are an employee or officer of or are an Immediate Family member of an employee or officer of: a) the Promoter; b) Asahi Beverages.; c) its parent companies; or d) its agencies. “Immediate Family” means spouse, parent, child or sibling, whether they live in the same household.

2.2 You may only enter this competition if You are aged 18 years or over and aon the date on which You submit Your Entry Form (as that term is defined below).

  1. Promotional Period 

3.1 The “Promotional Period” commences at 10:00am AEST on 01/10/2025 and closes at 4:59pm AEST on 1/12/2025 (‘Closing Date’).

3.2 Entries received outside the Promotional Period will not be accepted.

  1. How to Enter 

4.1 You must, during the Promotional Period, enter the promotion by:

(a) Visiting the Southport Sharks facilities;

(b) Becoming a Southport Sharks member, if you are not already a member;

(c) Purchasing Asahi Super Dry on tap or Nikka Whisky product from Lounge Bar or Mackenzie’s Bar;

(d) Obtaining a ticket from the team member serving you;

(e) Placing the ticket into the entry barrel; and

(f) Following any other directions of the Promoter, or the Promoter’s representative with respect to the Promotion.

4.2 There is no entry fee to enter this Promotion although the Promotion does require you to purchase either of the specified products.

4.3 Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission. The Promoter accepts no liability for late, lost or misdirected entries.

4.4 You may submit multiple entries and each entry must be unique and must individually comply with these Terms and Conditions.

4.5 Once an entry is submitted, you acknowledge that the entry must not be withdrawn, altered or deleted (except as and where required by the Promoter).

4.6 The Promoter reserves the discretion to review all entries received as part of the Promotion and may, in its sole discretion, deem an entry to be ineligible if the Entry Form or any of its contents are incomplete, indecipherable, or ineligible.

4.7 You warrant that any information You provide to the Promoter in relation to the Promotion is valid, complete and accurate. You understand that the Promoter may at any time verify any information that You have provided or that relates to Your entry into the Promotion. If any information You have provided is found to be fraudulent, invalid, incomplete, inaccurate or not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions You will be disqualified from the Promotion. Errors and omission may be accepted at the discretion of the Promoter.

  1. Draw

5.1 One valid entry will be selected via a random draw on 1/12/2025 at 5:00PM.

5.2 There will be one (1) major during the Promotional Period.

5.3 The Promoter’s decision as to the Winner of the Promotion will be final and binding on all entrants and no correspondence will be entered into by the Promoter in this regard.

  1. Notification of winners 

6.1 Winner will be notified no later than close of business on 5/12/2025 by email or mobile phone.

6.2 The Promoter will arrange for the Prize letter to be delivered to the Winner within one weeks of acceptance of the Prize by the Winner. The Prize will be delivered to the email address notified by the Winner on their membership. It is the responsibility of the Entrant to provide the correct address details and personal information on their membership.

  

  1. Prizes 

7.1 The one (1) major prize consists of a trip to Japan for two (2) people. Arrangement of the package will be handled between Asahi Beverages, their specified travel agency and the Winner. See “7.2 Major Prize” section below for further prize details.

7.2 The Major Prize consists of:

  • Return economy airfares for 2 people from Brisbane, QLD to Osaka, Japan, flying out of Tokyo, Japan
  • All airline and airport taxes
  • One way private transfer from Osaka Airport to accommodation in Osaka

  • AUD$1,000.00 spending money (intended to use as a taxi allowance to get from Sendai station to Nikka Miyagikyo distillery and back)

7.3 The winner must provide proof of identity before redeeming any Prize and the Promoter may declare a Prize unclaimed if a winner is unable to prove their identity to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promoter.

7.4. You agree that the Prize, as described in paragraph 7.1 and 7.2 constitutes the total prize given by the Promoter and that all additional costs are the responsibility of the Winner.

7.5 All Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-redeemable for cash, credit or any other item.

7.6 If for any reason whatsoever a Prize cannot be redeemed on any dates during the Redemption Period the Promoter may, acting in its sole discretion, substitute or replace the Prize with another prize of equal or greater value.

  1. Use of information 

8.1 You are providing information to the Promoter and such information will only be used as stated in these Terms and Conditions. Any Personal Information provided by You to the Promoter will be kept and used in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at www.southportsharks.com.au

8.2 The Promoter may disclose and publish the name and any other particulars of the Winner (including the Image submitted as part of the Entry Form) for publicity and promotional purposes and the Winner agrees to at the Promoter’s cost co-operate with and participate in any activities organised by the Promoter in this regard.

  1. Disqualification, Suspension and Termination 

9.1 The Promoter may disqualify any participant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, manipulates the participation process, acts unfairly, dishonestly or unlawfully or who tries to influence the draw by disruption, harassment, annoyance of employees or representatives of the Promoter or other participants. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

9.2 The Promoter may also exercise its rights under paragraph 4.7 of these Terms and Conditions.

9.3 If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any Entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate, subject to the approval of any relevant regulatory authority.

  1. Liability 

10.1 Except to the extent provided by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the offer, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any Prize that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in the Prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a Entrant; or (f) any use of the Prize.

10.2 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other legislation which may not be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement.
